"What's Old Is New Again," an exhibition of new mixed-media work by Hillel Smith.

Jewish texts and rituals find new life in Smith's contemporary practice, blending spray paint and digital illustration with modern aesthetics. Layering ancient blessings and commemorations with cutting-edge style, he creates work that invites viewers to make Judaism's traditions their own.

The exhibition closes soon. Catch two final events with the artist on Wednesday, September 2:
  • Social Spark, Rosh Hashanah Spirit | 1 – 2 PM, PJCC Boardroom. A hands-on creative workshop with Hillel Smith. Register here.
  • Member Mixer, Appy Hour | 5 – 7 PM, PJCC Lobby. Meet Hillel, make a card, and enjoy appetizers. No registration required.

Rabbis' Roundtable: What Do We Mean by “We”?

Thurs., Aug. 27 | 6:45 PM Reception, 7:30 PM Program

The High Holiday liturgy speaks in the language of “we,” inviting us to reflect, return, seek repair, and take responsibility together. This year’s Rabbis’ Roundtable brings North Peninsula rabbis together to explore what collective responsibility asks of us: how we belong, how we are accountable to one another, and how we remain in community even across disagreement. Bring a friend!
