On June 7, check out our new 2-hour workshop, taught by certified Yoga Therapist and Life Coach Adriana, is designed to loosen up tight hips. You'll develop hip strength and motor control, increase range of motion, and better protect yourself from injuries.
This workshop is great for active individuals with a wide range of fitness and wellness backgrounds and interests.
We are grateful that Foster City acknowledged Jewish American Heritage Month with an official proclamation at their May City Council Meeting, which our CEO Jordan Shenker was honored to receive.

Intro to Bridge
2:30 - 4 PM
Begin your Bridge journey with this welcoming and interactive 6 session introduction to bridge for those who have never played bridge before or returning to bridge after a long break.
No prior bridge knowledge required. All supplies included.
For both beginner and experienced dancers, you'll start with simple steps, learn a couple of new dances, and enjoy open dance time where favorites can be requested. Come for an afternoon of fun, learning, and connection with instructor Bronwyn Eisenberg.
Get some fresh air with new friends and a dash of Jewish teaching. Special guest, yoga instructor Debi Bohmerwald, will lead the group with some gentle stretches as we walk together along the Foster City lagoon path.
Meet for a lively discussion about topical events. All opinions are welcome, creating a forum for stimulating and thought-provoking conversations led by David Nigel & Jon Levinson.

Social Spark: Music For a Summer Afternoon
1 - 2 PM
Come hear songs of summer from a range of genres and styles, played and sung by pianist/vocalist Alex Bootzin. Classical, light jazz, and popular pieces by beloved composers, including: Domenico Scarlatti, Franz Schubert, Claude Debussy, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, & Beatles.
Each week will focus on a new classic or modern rock song. All instruments welcome. It’s a great opportunity to connect with fellow musicians and explore new musical styles together. Musicians ages 16 and up only, please.
Grab a snack and a seat—Bingo is calling. Bring your lucky charms and enjoy some lighthearted competition in a friendly, relaxed setting. Everyone is welcome to join in for a chance to win fun prizes and meet new faces.

Hip Power: The Key to Strength & Pain Free Movement
4 - 6 PM
This 2-hour workshop will benefit active individuals whose hips are tight. This can be anyone from runners, dancers, yoga practitioners, or weight lifters plus many more individuals. Please have some yoga experience. Must be able to sit and rise from the floor without assistance. Not appropriate for individuals with hip replacement.
Looking for a low-key way to unwind? Come together for puzzles, pizza, and plenty of laughs. Whether you’re a puzzle pro or just in it for the cheese and conversation, these gatherings are a hit with members of all ages.

Preparing for Pride: From Undoing Assumptions, to Embodying Allyship
7 - 8:30 PM
These are identities we all hold and have relationships with, and in this training we work to better understand the LGBTQ+ community through that lens. We also touch on extended topics such as pronouns, best practices, and supporting people exploring and sharing their identities.
Bunco is a lively, social dice game that requires no previous experience, making it perfect for newcomers. It’s a game of pure chance, so everyone has an equal opportunity to win. Beginners are always welcome.
We’ll decorate rainbow-colored treats and learn about local groups we can partner with as we celebrate belonging. You’ll be able to sign up for the San Mateo pride parade if you want to join the PJCC there.
