“When You Have Gathered,” an exhibition of new papercuts by Isaac Brynjegard-Bialik
Jewish tradition and storytelling find new life in Brynjegard-Bialik’s unique medium, papercuts made from his childhood comic book collection. Layering superheroes and sacred texts, he creates what he calls “paper midrash”—visual commentary that bridges heritage and pop culture.

Isaac & Rabbi Shawna Brynjegard-Bialik of Paper Midrash reveal the Jewish history of comic books in a fascinating hour-long program about the Jews who invented the comic book industry and most of your favorite heroes — as well as exploring the historical trends and Jewish traditions that led to our fascination with capes and tights.

Don’t miss a night packed with adventure and fun! Kids will jump into a hands-on craft activity, then refuel with a tasty dinner. After all the creating (and eating), we’ll wind down with a movie and popcorn—an easy, feel-good evening with friends and plenty of smiles.
Experience a peaceful almost meditative art form that quiets the body, reduces stress, and lets the inner artist blossom. Dot Mandalas are created using specialized tools to create a lovely artwork, starting in the middle of the canvas and building outward in a symmetrical pattern. Each participant will create and take home their own beautiful, unique artwork.
For both beginner and experienced dancers, you'll start with simple steps, learn a couple of new dances, and enjoy open dance time where favorites can be requested. Come for an afternoon of fun, learning, and connection with instructor Bronwyn Eisenberg.
