SFJAZZ: The Klezmatics

In a rare evening senior excursion, we’re planning a night on the town to celebrate Hanukkah with the Grammy-winning Jewish klezmer superstars – the Klezmatics.
Do a mitzvah (good deed) and make a real difference in someone’s life! The Stanford Blood Center is holding a blood drive at the PJCC, and your donation can help save lives in our community.
Each participant will receive a $20 eGift card with many options to choose from.
Get some fresh air with new friends and a dash of Jewish teaching. Special guest, yoga instructor Debi Bohmerwald, will lead the group with some gentle stretches as we walk together along the Foster City lagoon path.
Meet for a lively discussion about topical events. All opinions are welcome, creating a forum for stimulating and thought-provoking conversations led by David Nigel & Jon Levinson.

California Mahjong - Tuesdays

California Mahjong is Chinese Mahjong but uses a simplified scoring system and is based on the British, Hong Kong, and Shanghai games. It's a bit like Gin Rummy with a captivating and culturally rich game that will challenge your brain for life, while building and enjoying new friendships!
PJCC Member Peter Bloom will facilitate a weekly group practice session where players of all levels can learn, improve, jam, and practice playing music with others. Each week will focus on a new classic or modern rock song. All instruments welcome. Musicians ages 16 and up only, please.
Start your morning with connection! Enjoy a spread of breakfast treats and fresh coffee while getting to know fellow members and staff. Plus, you’ll have the chance to win prizes in our community raffle. It’s a casual and delicious way to say hello.
Peer-To-Peer (P2P): How Travel Strengthens the Mind & Body

Join Debanu to explore the convergence of travel, health, fitness, and wellness. He will discuss various forms of travel (local, recreational, adventure, experiential, and culinary) and highlight his recent adventure travel experiences, including multi-day, high-altitude, and high-intensity treks to Everest Base Camp in Nepal; Tour du Mont Blanc in Europe; the Grand Canyon Rim-to-River-to-Rim; as well as scuba diving and skiing.
During this session, we will delve into the significance of Tzedakah, understanding how it inspires acts of kindness and generosity, and how it plays a vital role in fostering a just and compassionate society.
