Join us for an evening of rhythm, artistry, and exceptional musicianship with guitarist and composer Lee Waterman and his renowned Latin jazz ensemble Jazz Caliente. Founded in 1989, this distinguished group blends Afro-Cuban and Brazilian influences with Lee’s original compositions and distinctive interpretations of works by jazz greats such as Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Tito Puente, and Sérgio Mendes.
With complex rhythms, expressive melodies, and exciting ensemble interplay, Jazz Caliente offers an authentic and engaging performance that celebrates Latin jazz traditions. The ensemble features Melecio Magdaluyo (sax, flute, clarinet), Marc Levine (bass), David Rokeach (drums), Tommy Kesecker (vibraphone), and Jimmy Biala (Afro-Cuban and Brazilian percussion).

SFJAZZ: The Klezmatics

In a rare evening senior excursion, we’re planning a night on the town to celebrate Hanukkah with the Grammy-winning Jewish klezmer superstars – the Klezmatics.
Experience the fun and excitement in painting with watercolors. This class will focus on learning basic watercolor techniques such as washes, gradation, color mixing, and blending. There will also be strong emphasis on design and composition of subject matter.
For both beginner and experienced dancers, you'll start with simple steps, learn a couple of new dances, and enjoy open dance time where favorites can be requested. Come for an afternoon of fun, learning, and connection!

PJCC Member Peter Bloom will facilitate a weekly group practice session where players of all levels can learn, improve, jam, and practice playing music with others. Each week will focus on a new classic or modern rock song. All instruments welcome. Musicians ages 16 and up only, please.
