We Held our First Food Tasting Competition! 🍰

The event took place on Saturday, October 30th at Rasmaska Gardens where 28 agro-food businesses from around North Lebanon participated.

Over 500 food tasters attended the event providing significant exposure for the competing businesses by tasting and rating their products.

The top 10 highest scoring businesses advanced to the next round and had their products assessed by a panel of market experts and award winning chefs.

The Startup Seeds Bootcamp kicked off with a 5-day entrepreneurship experience that included business model structuring, speed coaching, and pitching training.

Bootcamp Outcomes:

- Learning to pitch for investment

- Building a business plan and action plan

- Developing a prototype concept

The participants got to meet the Startup Seeds entrepreneurs and learn more about their startups. Throughout their 3-day journey, they were given several workshops about current market trends, and interactive exercises to help them develop their essential skills.

- Developing communication and leadership skills

The business owners participated in a speed networking activity with the Rainmakers as a recruitment opportunity. They then underwent a needs assessment exercise along with a series of workshops on business collaboration and formulating necessary action plans.

DevFest is an annual tech conference hosted by Google developer communities worldwide to talk about the newest technologies. This year, the event is set to be held in Tripoli & North Lebanon at Beirut Arab University Tripoli on November 27.
